Since Afi's birth, Shadow has come in the darkness to be Aislyn's
play friend. It is unknown as to if this drow seeks to convert
Aislyn to the dark realms or if he has some soft spot in his heart
for his granddaughter. Aislyn often talked about 'shadow', to her
mother's despair, and was eventually forbidden to speak of her
'imaginary friend'. As she has grown and traveled, Shadower's
visits have become more and more infrequent. Afi has a suspicion
that Shadowe has been staying on the surface more and has
alluded to the possibility of the Matrons eating him due to his
increasing age. He has yet to tell anyone on the surface world that
he is El'lar d'Ssinssrigg (House of pleasure) but instead has taken
his cultured learning (bard) to spin his tales in taverns, often
disguising himself so he goes unnoticed.
